Some thought it was funny, but Chinese hurdler Liu Xiang did not, and his team may take legal action against a Chinese Hospital which used a picture of the athlete on a flyer promoting a "cure" for premature ejaculation if it was proved to be using Liu's picture. Liu stumbled at the first hurdle of the men’s 110 metres heat at
London 2012 due to an injured Achilles tendon.
The flyer which allegedly shows Liu sprawled on the track with his head bowed in shame, is captioned: "Falling immediately after start! Premature ejaculation is men's unspeakable agony."
Major newspapers also carried the ad by Huifen Hospital in the southern city of Guangzhou, which is a small hospital , and has gained some notoriety due to the number of patients who had criticized it online.
A copy of the flyer was even posted online and has led to heated discussion about the use of Liu's picture.
